With almost 150 international ISO pros, the Coldwater Classic event showcased Tofino and many very talented locals, with Pete taking the big prize!

Also Olympic fever (good or bad) hit the coast a few days later with the arrival of the torch!  Passed on from senior surfer Ruth Sadler to well known local, Raph Bruhwiler, who glided it to shore on his board.  We’re sure the first time ever the torch has been “surfing” before!
